The World Goes Black

A huge explosion rocks the earth.
Mount St Helens has erupted, soot and ash rain down upon the earth
and turn the sky black. Horrible fumes mar the air, making breathing hard for all
and eyes burn. Seeing is a challenge, for it seems like it is snowing heavily.
Wolves all over find these conditions horrid, for without sight and smell what
do they possess? Blackness. A seemingly endless night that grips all nearby.
How long will this darkness last?
Will it end?
